In this video of the face2face series, we have with us Mr. Vivek Bajaj, co-founder, StockEdge, Elearnmarkets, in conversation with Mr. Bharat Jhunjhunwala, a businessman and a part-time trader by profession. He is someone who became involved with the financial markets in 2005 and had been trading and practising for over 15 years now. He is someone who has witnessed various market cycles and also made profits during the crash of 2008.
Mr. Bharat will share his journey of becoming a successful trader from a learner in the stock markets. He discusses momentum trading using a technical analysis indicator known as the Relative Strength Index or the RSI. The speaker will discuss all aspects of this indicator and the meaning behind it. Further, he will discuss a trading strategy based on price action andthe RSI indicator. He will explain the strategy in great detail by performing technical analysis on actual stocks. Additionally, he will also discuss ways to identify early potential trend reversals in the markets using the RSI indicator. Mr. Bharat then delves into effective strategies to time a proper exit from a long or a short position. He says that it is a well-known fact that it is easy to enter or take a position in any stock. But timing the exit correctly is critical and challenging at the same time. So using RSI and Price Action, the speaker will discuss an exit strategy too.
Mr. Bharat emphasises the value of practice, continuing learning, and adhering to a selected plan of action. He acknowledges that traders frequently deviate from their plans and let their feelings guide them. He does, however, stress how important it is to maintain focus and refrain from making quick decisions. The speaker emphasizes how rushing through decisions can be negative to trading success.
